You can also take advantage of country code top-level domains (ccTLDs) if you are involved in a local business. Examples of some of them are .us, .uk, .ng, .in, .za, .cn, .es, .de and so on. They vary in registration length/criteria, automatic renewal dates, constant charges and procedures for transfer. When local prospects see domain names with the right ccTLDs, they will be more willing to do business with you.
